One path to follow

No, no, don’t worry, it’s not a 2020 retrospect post.
Or maybe you’d enjoy one of those, actually i would too, but this ain’t it!
But you know how i love to sneak in one last post at the end of the year, especially as i sit here, reflecting on how different my New Years Eve was last year, and at the same time, just how foreshadowing…
My focus that day and night was to do kind things for myself, and find love and joy in solitude, and if that didn’t become a whole damn theme the coming year, i don’t know what did.

Tonight will be a little different, a little more, dare i say normal, as i’m spending it with Frances, as i have many times before.
But the focus on self love, joy and authenticity remains the same, and gratitude, for life, for health, for having friends that are on their own conscious journey, to share and build with.

I made a lot of changes in my life this year, and the biggest was probably to start a project of my own that i plan to turn into a small business, without consulting even my closest friends. That may not seem like a big deal to some, but as someone who’s always been highly dependant on the advice and validation of others, making a move like that, working on something in secret for months before even talking about it, trusting and believing in myself, was huge, and i can’t wait to share the result here very soon.
Another change was to be more unapologetic about both creating and sharing art. Leaving behind some of that harmful perfectionism, and sharing without shame, without second guessing, and without self censoring. Finally. That only took a lifetime to unlearn.

So with that being said, it makes sense to end the year with sharing my art.
A painting i worked on for over a year, and one commissioned by a customer, that i was able to finish in less than a week.
And of course a selfie, because that’s me, that’s life too.
Cruising into the new year with cute nails, almost natural brown hair, and a newfound sense of purpose.

Wishing you all the happiest New Year <3

My home. Thank you for keeping me safe and comfortable this year
Definitely the most elegant nails of the year!
